Five years later

Dreamt you opened your mouth but no words came out
The dream was false; you were not silent.
Quiet, but not silent.
Sometimes bursting with song,
A quiet chuckle here and there
But never silent.
Our mind is a great pretender
When concealing the weeping
sadness that accompanies your absence.

Five years later,
we are still preparing to say goodbye.
